How do I improve my Google rankings?

How is ranking in Google Maps different to Google Search?

Google Maps shows more localised search results based on where the person searching is located. Your Google My Business profile is an essential factor because without it, your clinic will not show in the maps listing. 

Can SEO be done as a once-off? Doesn't it have to be an ongoing process?

To consistently grow and maintain results and to continue reaping the benefits, SEO tasks need to be carried out on a regular basis. In the first instance we recommend committing to a 3-month period. Ideally during this timeframe you will start to notice your business appearing higher in the maps and search results, resulting in a noticeable increase in patient enquiries and appointments. It's best to commit to SEO for a minimum 12 month period for the best results. Some of our clients have been with us for 3-5 years. 

How does this fit in with Google Business?

SEO and Google Business work hand-in-hand when it comes to how prominent your business appears across Google Search and Google Maps. In most circumstances, one cannot work successfully without the other when it comes to local search. 

How does this fit with the technical setup of my website?

For SEO to work well, your website building blocks need to be structurally sound. That means your URL is https secure, your website is mobile responsive and your website loads fast.
